When kayak fishing one of the most frequent issues I have observed is people fighting with their fishing pole while either re-rigging or landing a fish. This problem is most often caused by the angler reeling in to much line.
The solution?
Leave a rods length of line to grab the end of the line where you can re-rig or land a fish with very little hassle!
After tying the rig on or removing the fish from the end of the line reel in enough line to cast again or to stow the rod.
